Osteopathy Gdańsk

My osteopathic consultations are based in Gdańsk, Poland, and all sessions take place in English. Whether you are an expat, an international professional, a student, or simply someone who prefers to communicate in English, you are very welcome here.

Osteopathy is a hands-on form of healthcare that looks at how your whole body works together, rather than focusing only on where you feel pain. As a result, I consider your muscles, joints, posture, breathing, and lifestyle to understand the deeper causes of your discomfort. My approach is calm, gentle, and reassuring, particularly if you are new to osteopathy.

During your visit, I begin by listening carefully to your concerns and medical history. Following that, I carry out a thorough physical assessment. Using skilled, precise touch, I then work with your muscles, joints, and nervous system to release tension, improve movement, and support your body’s natural ability to heal. Importantly, every technique is adapted to your comfort and discussed before I begin. You are always in control, and the clinic is quiet, warm, and welcoming throughout.

Your First Osteopathic Consultation

Your first consultation takes place in a calm, unhurried environment where your comfort and consent are always the priority. To begin, I take a full medical history, asking about your current symptoms, past injuries, medications, and existing health conditions. In addition, we discuss your lifestyle, work, sleep, exercise, and stress levels to build a complete picture of your overall wellbeing.

What Does a Physical Assessment Involve?

Next, a gentle physical assessment takes place. During this, I observe your posture and movement, and ask you to perform simple actions such as bending or turning. With your permission, I then carry out a hands-on examination, carefully feeling how your muscles, joints, and tissues move.

In terms of treatment, I may use soft tissue work to ease muscle tension, joint mobilisation to improve movement, or comfortable stretching to support flexibility. All techniques are fully adapted to your needs, you can pause or stop at any time. After the assessment, I explain my findings clearly and outline a personalised treatment plan, which may include hands-on treatment, self-care advice, and home exercises. Generally speaking, a first session lasts around 45–60 minutes, with plenty of time for questions throughout.

How Osteopathy May Help

Back and neck pain Through gentle hands-on work, I address tension in the muscles, joints, and soft tissues of the spine. Consequently, many patients find it easier to sit, stand, and move with greater confidence. Overall, the aim is to ease stiffness, support better alignment, and encourage freer movement.

Joint and muscle problems Shoulder, hip, knee, or elbow discomfort can respond well to careful manual work. Specifically, I use stretching, soft-tissue techniques, and joint mobilisation to reduce tightness. As a result, movement often feels smoother and more comfortable.

Headaches and migraines Certain headaches are linked to tension in the neck, upper back, and jaw. For this reason, I focus on easing this tension and improving spinal mobility. In turn, this approach may help reduce the frequency or intensity of tension-related headaches.

Sports injuries Sprains, strains, and overuse injuries can benefit significantly from osteopathic support. In these cases, I focus on easing irritated tissues, improving joint mobility, and encouraging balanced movement patterns. Over time, this can reduce pain and support a more complete recovery.

Work-related strain and posture issues Long hours at a desk or repetitive tasks place considerable extra stress on the body. Therefore, I work to ease muscle tension, improve joint mobility, and support more comfortable posture throughout the day. In addition, I offer practical advice on workplace setup and simple daily exercises.

Pregnancy-related discomfort The body changes significantly during pregnancy, and back, pelvic, or rib discomfort is common as a result. To address this, I use gentle techniques to ease strain on the joints and soft tissues, always adapting treatment to your stage of pregnancy.

Age-related stiffness With age, joints and muscles can feel progressively stiffer and less flexible. In response, I use gentle mobilisation and soft-tissue work to support easier movement. Many patients find that, following treatment, daily activities feel noticeably more manageable.
